Engagement Pictures

We finally took our engagement pictures yesterday! It was very hot but we had lots of fun. We went out to Montgomery, Texas and took some great pictures in the old town and farms. Then we went to the lighthouse on Lake Conroe and took some fun shots there and last we went to Market Street in The Woodlands! We are so anxious for them to be posted so we can see them! I will post a few as soon as possible!

Wedding Dress

My wedding dress came in TWO MONTHS early and I am so excited! On Monday I went with my mom and sisters to pick it up. It is so PERFECT! It fits so well and will only need a few minor alterations. Of course I can't post a picture of it since that would ruin the surprise and I wouldn't want Cole to sneak a peak at it either! It felt so surreal to be standing there in MY wedding dress! Now I just need to find a veil at a reasonable cost, I can't believe how expensive they are!

Puppy Love

Cole and I decided to get a puppy last Friday! He is a miniature dachshund and after much debate we decided to name him Presley. He is such a little love bug and we just love him so much! Potty training has been really easy but getting him to stop crying while we are gone is harder than I thought.

Engagement Party

We had our engagement party at my parents lake house. It was a great opportunity for both of our families to get together and enjoy some good B-B-Q and sun! Most of my bridesmaids and Cole's groomsman were able to attend and we had a great time. We were also able to sample some of our wedding cake which was delicious!

Wedding Planning

We will be getting married on October 10, 2009 at April Sound Country Club on Lake Conroe! We will have a lake side ceremony and reception to follow at the club house right on the lake. Our theme is "The Perfect Pair" and have incorporated real pears into the decor. The wedding colors of pear green, chocolate brown, and ivory. The flowers are light green hydrangeas and ivory roses and brown curly willow to accent! We have 8 bridesmaids, 8 groomsman, 2 flower girls, and 2 ring bearers!!! It was super hard to pick a a maid of honor because all of my friends and sisters are very special to me but I chose my sister, Kristina. She has helped so much and was there giving me her opinions while I tried on dress after dress after dress! I love her to death! Planning a wedding is a lot more expensive and time consuming than I ever thought! It has been a blast though. Thank God for my Mom because she has been such a help! Basically she has done everything and with all the people she knows we were able to find great deals for a DJ, food, flowers, table decorations, wedding coordinator, and of course accessories! I have already ordered my dress and it should arrive a few days before my birthday!!! I tried on about 30 dresses and ended up chosing the second one I ever tried on! Funny how that works. We are hoping to decide on a photographer in the next few weeks so that we can take our engagements and then bridals when my dress comes in! We are still trying to decide on a honeymoon location, some of our favorites are Jamaica, Bahamas, and Hawaii! If you have any suggestion PLEASE let me know! Cole and I are excited to start registering for wedding gifts soon and planning our future together!

We are ENGAGED!!!

Cole and I got engaged on December 5, 2008! I came home from work that Friday expecting our dinner date so when I opened the door to find thousands of rose petals, hundreds of lit candles, and a very romantic dinner prepared I was very surprised! He told me just wanted to do something special for me. After our wonderful steak dinner Cole had a bottle of champagne in the fridge and after he poured me a glass he got down on his knee and pulled out from under the table a little black box! He was so nervous and crying and then asked me to marry him! We both cried and then on cue he had our song playing on the stereo and we danced! Then we called everyone we knew and told them the good news!
