Nursery

Well the girls' room is slowly coming together! We decided to leave the wall color since we had just painted it when we moved in. We will see once the bedding comes in (3 weeks hopefully) if it works or not. Cole is still working on refinishing the dresser/changing table and we still need to hang the shelves above where the changing table will go. We found some cute curtains but not sure if it will go with bedding and will just have to see once it arrives!

 Hair bow board I made!

Our double stroller that I can't wait to use!

 Their closet, already spoiled! :)

Tissue paper balls I made. Hopefully it looks good with bedding!

Glider chair and ottoman we got an awesome deal on!

31 Weeks - 5 Weeks To Go!!!!

I am now 31 weeks with the girls and can't believe how time has been flying by! I feel pretty good just tired and a little overwhelmed with getting everything ready for their arrival. I am trying my best to prepare myself for them to be in the NICU for a while and that is the scarriest thing so far! We had an ultrasound yesterday and baby A is 3.5 lbs and baby B is 1.14 lbs. There is still a very big difference between them but baby A is doing great and meeting all the milestones for a 31 weeks. The doctor is optomistic that she will do just fine and will only need to be in NICU to gain weight before leaving the hospital. We will have scheduled c-section around the 36 week mark which is less than 5 weeks from now! We are praying that they continue to grow from now until then and that we have two healthy babies upon delivery!

The nursery is coming along great! Waiting for bedding to come in which should be 3-4 weeks. I will post pictures soon!

We have had 3 wonderful showers so far and two more to go! We feel so blessed to have such wonderful family and friends!

29 Weeks!!!!

We are now seeing the doctor weekly! The babies look great and growing like weeds! I love getting to see them every week too. We got some great pictures of baby A this time but none of baby B as her face was blocked by her sister's legs and feet! LOL We even got to see her yawning and sticking out her tongue which was really cute.

We think she may have her daddy's nose! So cute!

Urban Belly Photos

Since we were not sure about me being on bed rest or how much longer we really have until the twins are here we went ahead and scheduled our maternity photos during the Christmas break. They turned out amazing!!! Cortney Russell also did our engagement and wedding and we love her!

Contractions

Well this past Monday was very scary. I had a few contractions over the weekend but just thought they were Braxton Hicks so wasn't too concerned. I went to work on Monday still having a few BH and started documenting them since they seemed to be getting more frequent. Well by 11:00 a.m. they were exactly 5 minutes apart so I tried calling both my doctors and no one was available. I made the decision to just go into the hospital which was a good idea. They hooked me up to fetal heart monitors and contraction monitors, took some tests and decided that I was indeed in preterm labor. They gave me 3 shots every hour to stop the contractions and also had ultrasound to check on babies and my cervix. Both babies are now transverse which is very uncomfortable for me. After waiting another hour to make sure they had stopped the contractions I was released to go home but on bed rest for 2 days. I had some more while on bedrest but nothing like they were on Monday. Praying they stop for good and these girls continue cooking until March!

The Girl's Nursery

The cribs were delivered this weekend so we did some moving around of furniture (full bed into smaller guest room and twin bed into office) We will be using the largest of the rooms for the girls since they will needs lots of room!
 Cribs!!!

 Daddy putting the cribs together.

Here are the crib bedding that I will order. I will use same fabric patterns and colors but mix up for each baby so they kind of have their own look.

Still need to refinish their dresser/changing table!
